Each box is handcrafted by multi-talented artisans at one studio in India. They tan the leather and hand-treat it to give it its color. They build a wood box, line it with suede, and wrap the leather snugly around it; then the leather is trimmed, tailored, and tightly secured for smooth, sleek lines and durability. Last, they stud the box with polished nickel-finished nailheads hammered in one by one to create the decidedly deco-inspired design. Sophisticated, chic, and – with the slight variations that are so prized in hand-work – one-of-a-kind.
