The art of lacquerware has been passed down from generation to generation in villages north of Hanoi, Vietnam. The craftsmen there used natural resin extracted from the sumac tree to make various strong and beautiful objects; many things have been found in ancient tombs over the centuries. Our exquisite boxes (large and small) are made of wood and natural horns, and then they are painted and polished to a high gloss with skilled hands. It can store jewelry or other treasures, or just look beautiful on a table, chest or console.
