Our vases are crafted in a workshop entirely owned and operated by women. The recipe for the material they used (in this case, a mixture of dolomite and clay) was developed in the studio specifically for each item they made. Starting with hand-made molds, the molds are filled by craftsmen and then dried. Once released from the mold, each vase can be smoothed by hand and hand-glazed in a multi-step process. Including 2% to 4% recycled materials from the studio-making full use of resources can also enhance the integrity and stability of the finished product.
